Grants Now Open for Community Meeting and Sport Facilities

Newsletter section image

Funding opportunities for community infrastructure don't come around every day, so it's worth making sure your organisation — or those you support — knows about these two programs currently accepting applications.

Community organisations and sporting groups have a timely opportunity to secure funding for new or upgraded facilities. Applications are now open for the Queensland Government's Multicultural Connect Grants, a $3.75 million program designed to build or upgrade permanent, inclusive community spaces. Eligible organisations can apply for grants ranging from $10,000 to $500,000 to fund community halls, meeting rooms, multicultural hubs, and sporting facilities.

The 2026 Australia Post Community Grants program is also currently open, offering an additional avenue for local clubs and not-for-profits looking to upgrade community or sporting spaces. Groups are encouraged to explore both programs and assess their eligibility before deadlines close.

If you're involved with a local club, community group, or sporting organisation — or know someone who is — now is the time to take a closer look at what's on offer. Share this with your networks and get those applications in before the windows close.
