Supporting local businesses to grow their teams is a priority for the Mudgeeraba Chamber of Commerce, and we're pleased to share details of a significant funding opportunity currently available to construction businesses on the Gold Coast and across Queensland.
If you run a construction business and have been thinking about taking on an apprentice, there is now meaningful financial support available. The Queensland Government's TradieStart Apprentice Incentive offers eligible construction businesses a $10,000 payment to help with the cost of hiring and supporting a new apprentice.
Two programs are working in tandem to address skills shortages and build the workforce needed to deliver more homes across the state.
If your business is eligible, now is the time to act. Visit the Queensland Government's website to register and find out whether your apprenticeship hire qualifies for the incentive.
Taking on an apprentice is a great way to invest in the future of your business and your industry — and with up to $10,000 on offer, the timing has never been better. If you'd like to connect with other local business owners who are navigating similar opportunities, we encourage you to get involved with the Mudgeeraba Chamber of Commerce and join our growing community of supportive, forward-thinking businesses on the Gold Coast.
